Portraits with a Leica M (Typ 240)

If you’ve read about portraits with a rangefinder, the word “quiet” is bound to appear. It’s certainly the best word I can think of to describe these Leica portraits. There’s a softness associated with every frame. There’s so little in the way between photographer and subject, and the beauty of the simplicity is obvious.

These were all taken with a Leica M that I was fortunate enough to rent for a weekend. I used my 35mm Zeiss Biogon f/2.8 and a rented 50mm Zeiss f/1.5
