Los Angeles

Shortly after enduring the chill of Chicago, I made a quick pitstop in Binghamton before flying from snowy Syracuse to sunny Los Angeles. From there I spent a week in Long Beach with friend and fellow photographer Steffanie Padilla, and another week in El Monte with my pal Joey.

Most of these photographs were made on a warm beach in San Pedro with a Hasselblad 500c and Kodak Ektar 100 pushed two stops. The photograph of Joey was at Villa Elaine on my Leica M2, and all the others were made with a Fuji x100s.

It was my first time in California, and while L.A. didn’t resonate with me as strongly as my next stop in San Francisco, it was a great place to kick back and spend a few days at the beach with new friends.
